This page explains how sevenco handles personal information across riders, drivers, partners, app users, and website visitors.

1. Introduction

Welcome to sevenco ("sevenco", "Company", "we", "our", or "us"). sevenco is a technology platform that connects riders, customers, drivers, and independent transportation or mobility service providers through mobile applications, websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, disclose, store, and protect your information when you access or use our Platform. By using sevenco, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. Information We Collect

Personal Information

  • Full name, mobile number, email address, profile photograph, residential address, saved locations, date of birth, optional gender, and emergency contacts.

Identity Verification Information

  • Government-issued ID, PAN card, Aadhaar details where legally permitted, driver's license, vehicle registration certificate, insurance documentation, selfie verification, and facial verification images.
  • Verification may be performed manually or through automated verification partners.

Biometric & Facial Verification Information

  • Where permitted by law, selfie or face verification data may be used to verify identity, prevent fraud, detect duplicate accounts, and improve platform safety.
  • Biometric or facial verification data is processed securely and retained only as long as necessary for verification and compliance purposes.

Location Information

  • Foreground location may be collected while the app is open, users search for rides, navigation is active, or trips are ongoing.
  • Background location may be collected during active rides to provide live trip tracking, support navigation, improve pickup accuracy, detect route deviations, enable emergency assistance, and improve rider and driver safety.
  • Background tracking automatically stops after ride completion or when the driver goes offline. We do not use background location for unrelated advertising purposes.

Device, Payment & Communication Data

  • We may collect IP address, device identifiers, OS version, browser type, network provider, device language, crash reports, diagnostics, app usage events, cookies, SDK identifiers, UPI details, wallet information, transaction history, payment status, bank account details, GST information, and payout information.
  • Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store complete debit or credit card numbers on our servers.
  • We may collect support messages, ride chat communications, emails, call metadata, recorded support calls, and ride-related communication logs. Some communications may be monitored or recorded for safety, fraud prevention, quality assurance, and dispute resolution.

4. Diagnostics and Crash Data

When the app encounters errors or crashes, we collect technical information to help us fix issues and improve stability.

We do not use crash reporting for advertising or marketing.

Crash and Error Reports

  • Error type, error message, stack trace, timestamp, and related technical failure details.

Device and App Information

  • Device model, operating system version, app version, build number, and app environment such as production or staging.

Session and Technical Context

  • Information such as whether you were signed in, authentication or navigation state, and technical event breadcrumbs needed to understand the error.

Internal User Identifier

  • Your sevenco account user ID may be included when you are logged in, only to investigate issues affecting your account.
  • We do not send your phone number or email address to our crash reporting service through this feature.

5. How We Use Information

  • Provide transportation services and enable ride matching.
  • Improve route optimization, process payments, and verify identities.
  • Detect fraud, maintain safety, and provide customer support.
  • Personalize user experience and improve platform performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations, send alerts and notifications, and conduct analytics and research.

6. Automated Decision Making

We may use automated systems, including machine learning or AI-based technologies, to detect fraud, assess suspicious activity, optimize ride allocation, improve pricing systems, detect fake bookings, and improve safety monitoring.

7. Push Notifications

We may send ride updates, OTPs, payment alerts, driver arrival notifications, emergency notifications, promotional offers, policy updates, and security alerts. Users may disable notifications through device settings.

8. Camera, Photos & Microphone

Camera Access

  • Used for KYC verification, uploading documents, profile pictures, QR scanning, and support uploads.

Photo Library Access

  • Used for uploading images, trip evidence, and document submissions.

Microphone Access

  • Used for in-app calls, support communication, emergency features, and safety recording features if enabled. Permissions are requested contextually when needed.

9. Contacts Access

Contacts may be accessed only with user permission for referrals, emergency contacts, and ride sharing. We do not sell contact data.

10. Ride Audio, Video & Safety Monitoring

Certain rides or regions may support optional audio safety recording, dashcam integrations, and incident reporting tools. Such features are intended solely for rider safety, driver safety, fraud prevention, and dispute handling.

11. Sharing of Information

  • Riders and drivers, to facilitate rides and communication.
  • Payment providers, to process transactions securely.
  • Verification providers, for identity and document verification.
  • Cloud and technology providers, for hosting, analytics, customer support, and infrastructure services.
  • Government, law enforcement, emergency contacts, and authorities where required by law, court order, regulation, or emergency response.

12. Sentry (Crash and Error Reporting)

We use Sentry, provided by Functional Software, Inc., to collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the app fails or encounters errors. This helps us fix bugs, maintain reliability, and improve stability.

We do not intentionally send phone numbers, email addresses, payment card numbers, full payment credentials, or payment card details to Sentry through this feature.

Purpose

  • Collect and analyze crash reports, errors, stack traces, and related diagnostic data so we can maintain and improve the app.

Data Shared with Sentry

  • Crash and error details such as messages, error types, timestamps, and stack traces.
  • Device model, operating system information, app version, and build information.
  • Internal user ID when you are logged in.
  • Technical event breadcrumbs, such as authentication or navigation state, that do not include payment card details.

Location, Legal Basis, and Retention

  • Diagnostic data is sent to Sentry's services, including processing in the European Union where configured for our project.
  • Our legal basis is legitimate interest in operating a safe and reliable service and, where applicable, performance of our contract with you.
  • Sentry retains data according to its platform settings and our configuration; we limit diagnostic data to what is needed for debugging.

13. Data Retention

We retain information as long as necessary to provide services, meet compliance obligations, prevent fraud, satisfy tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary depending on legal and operational requirements.

14. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards including encryption, HTTPS/TLS, secure APIs, role-based access controls, security monitoring, authentication systems, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system can guarantee absolute security.

15. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting personal information, we may investigate the incident, notify affected users, notify authorities where legally required, and implement corrective security measures.

16. International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country, including services we use to operate the app, such as Supabase, Google, Razorpay, and Sentry.

Where we use Sentry for crash reporting, diagnostic data may be processed in the European Union or other regions where Sentry operates, in accordance with applicable data protection laws and contractual safeguards.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.

17. Third-Party Services & SDKs

Our Platform may use Google Maps, Firebase, payment gateways, analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, customer support software, and communication providers. These third parties may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

18. Advertising & Analytics

We may use analytics and advertising services to measure app performance, understand user behavior, improve services, and personalize content. Third-party advertising or analytics providers may use cookies, SDKs, or identifiers.

19. App Tracking Transparency (Apple ATT)

Where required by Apple policies, we will request permission before tracking users across third-party apps or websites. Users may manage tracking preferences in device settings.

20. Google Play Compliance

We comply with Google Play User Data policies regarding location access, background location, sensitive permissions, data minimization, and disclosure requirements. Permissions are requested only where necessary for core functionality.

21. User Rights

  • Access data, correct information, delete accounts, and withdraw consent.
  • Restrict processing, request portability, or object to certain processing activities where applicable law provides such rights.
  • Requests may be submitted through support channels.

22. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, unsafe activity, policy violations, illegal conduct, fake bookings, or payment fraud.

23. Illegal Activities & Safety Enforcement

Users may not use the Platform for unlawful activity, harassment, violence, discrimination, impersonation, or fraudulent activity. We reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities.

24. User Generated Content

Users may submit ratings, reviews, feedback, images, and support evidence. We reserve the right to moderate or remove content violating policies or laws.

25. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

26. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion through in-app account deletion or customer support. Certain records may be retained where legally required.

27. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, analytics identifiers, and tracking technologies to improve functionality and security.

28. Platform Role Disclaimer

sevenco acts as a technology platform facilitating connections between riders and independent service providers. Service providers are independent contractors and not employees of sevenco unless otherwise specified by applicable law.

The Sevenco Driver app is not limited to employees, contractors, or members of a single company or organization. Eligible independent professional drivers may download the app, create an account, submit required documents, and apply for activation subject to safety, identity, and compliance review.

30. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted within the Platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
